Open grassy slopes with marshy ground; low shrubs and low evergreen woodland in valleys by small stream and in shelter of sandstone rocks.
Shrub to 1.5 m. Leaves coriaceous, glossy dark green above, paler beneath. Sepals pale green, petals white.
