Our main interest is to gather, integrate and maintain an updated information system on the plant records of the Magdalena Medio region (Colombia). Currently, we have about 9000 records mainly from the herbarium COL, but also from our own observations and records which are in the process of curation and entry to different herbaria in Colombia. We also have our own photographs taken mainly of specimens from the COL herbarium, as well as live photographs of plants collected as part of a project focused on the exploration of this region of Colombia. Our purpose in the near future is to be able to easily provide a resource for specialist taxonomists to help maintain a good level of curation of records to move towards a complete flora of this region.
